Sheldon Adelson just got some of his money back from Marco Rubio

Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, left, seems to be getting key backing in his run for the presidency from Las Vegas Sands Chairman Sheldon Adelson, right. Israel’s Seventh Eye, an online media review, described a cover story in Adelson’s Israelis newspaper as “fawning over” Rubio, noting that it was accompanied by photos of derogatory stories from U.S. newspapers about Hillary Clinton.

Billionaire casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, one of the Republican Party's biggest megadonors, got some of his money back from the presidential campaign of Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., last month.

The campaign's July filing with the Federal Election Commission shows Adelson, his wife Miriam, and their daughter, Shelley, all received refunds of $2,600 contributions they made before Rubio launched his White House bid.
