Washington Nationals slugger Bryce Harper, a Las Vegas native, isn’t what you call a conventional member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
As the Deseret News’ Jerry Earl Johnston wrote last month, “he’s not your father’s Mormon. He has shaggy hair, a beard and a brash style, and he plays the game with abandon.”
You can add something else to that list: a hatred of BYU.
