This week, Monday By the Numbers collects statistics from AFAN’s AIDS Walk, “Marvel Universe Live!” at the Thomas & Mack Center (running from Thursday through Sunday) and the sale of Cirque du Soleil announced this morning.
But we begin with a couple of numbers from the Floyd Mayweather Jr.-Manny Pacquiao bout. Let’s touch gloves and come out fighting:
1: Number of questions asked of Manny Pacquiao (before Top Rank’s Bob Arum stepped in and cut the event short) during this morning’s conference call among media members covering the run-up to the May 2 bout at MGM Grand Garden Arena.
6: Number of minutes that press session lasted before it was announced that it would be “rescheduled.”

1: Number of Cirque shows to close on the Strip (that being “Viva Elvis” at Aria).
1: Number of Elvis shows opening this week, that being “The Elvis Experience” at Westgate Las Vegas.
160 million: Number of spectators who have seen Cirque shows since 1984.
330: Number of cities Cirque has visited in that time.
48: Number of countries Cirque has visited in that time.
$1.9 billion: Net worth of Cirque founder Guy Laliberte after he sold most of his interest in the company this morning, according to Forbes magazine.
$3.1 billion: The net worth of Steve Wynn, according to Forbes magazine.
$400,000: Amount raised during Sunday’s AFAN AIDS Walk at Town Square.
6,000: Number of walkers who participate in the walk.
7: Total number of shows in the “Marvel Universe Live!” run at the Thomas & Mack Center.
