Just ahead of the last month of 2015, Flamingo Las Vegas has signed both of its primary headliners for 2016.
Olivia Newton-John is returning with her “Summer Nights” residency at Donny & Marie Showroom beginning Jan. 19. Her latest contract was to expire Jan. 2.
“I’m really excited to continue to call the Flamingo home through 2016,” Newton-John said in a statement issued today. “I love being a part of this great community, and I look forward to creating more wonderful memories in Las Vegas next year.
The shows added to the ’16 schedule are Jan. 19-22 and 26-30, July 5-9 and 12-16, Aug. 9-13 and 16-20, Oct. 18-22 and 25-29, Nov. 22-26 and 29-30 and Dec. 1-3.
Tickets to the general public go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. (Caesars Entertainment Total Rewards card holders and Facebook fans of the Flamingo and Newton-John can purchase beginning this morning).
Prices are $69, $99 and $129, with a meet-and-greet offered at $299. Tickets are available at all Las Vegas Caesars Entertainment box offices, by phone at (702) 777-2782 and (855) 234-7469 and by hitting FlamingoLasVegas.com.
Newton-John is riding a wave of sales of her remix of “Magic,” for which she collaborated with her daughter, Chloe Lattanzi. Released in August, “You Have to Believe” ascended to the top of the Billboard Dance Music Club charts. They are the first mother-daughter tandem to hit that mark on that chart.
Newton-John’s contract status was of high interest at the Flamingo and Caesars Entertainment as the status of acts in Donny & Marie Showroom was uncertain.
But in late October, Donny and Marie Osmond also signed through the end of 2016, meaning the showroom named for them will continue with a pair of star-headlining productions in an uninterrupted run.
Donny & Marie ended their 2015 series Saturday night and are on a monthlong tour of their Christmas show through Minnesota, Indiana, Oklahoma and Ontario. They return Feb. 9.
