Wayne Newton’s jam session with The Roots on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon” will have to wait for another night.

Curtailed by a high fever and bronchitis, Newton had to postpone his appearance with Fallon and his house band scheduled for tonight at 11:30 on NBC. Newton also called off all of his New York media appearances scheduled for today, including a spot on “The Wendy Williams Show” on the CW.

A crew from that network was at Casa de Shenandoah today for a feature on the public attraction, but Newton was not involved as he was due to return to Las Vegas from New York on Wednesday.

Newton’s health is not going to change his schedule at Windows Showroom at Bally’s, where he opens his show “Up Close and Personal” on April 21.

Newton has had a busy schedule of performing and appearances. He opened T-Mobile Arena on Wednesday and had an early morning commitment Thursday at the opening celebration of Project Neon at Symphony Park.
