This week, Monday By the Numbers focuses on Super Bowl 50, where we finally drop the Roman numerals and ask the question, “In how many Super Bowls did Roman Gabriel of the Rams play?”

Zero is that number.

550: Staffers assigned by CBS to cover Sunday’s telecast.

5: Viable options to watch the game on CBS in Las Vegas in the face of the network’s dispute with Cox Communications, which has effectively knocked the network — and the game between the Panthers and the Broncos — off the air for Cox subscribers.

41: Ranking of Las Vegas among the top TV markets in the United States.

70: Degrees at kickoff, according to Bay Area forecasts.

31: Years since the Super Bowl was held in San Francisco (well, Stanford Stadium).

$220 million: Approximate amount spent by visitors to the Bay Area during Super Bowl week.

$124 million: Approximate amount spent by visitors to Las Vegas during last year’s Super Bowl weekend.

300,000: Approximate number of visitors to Las Vegas this year during Super Bowl weekend.

$116 million: Amount legally wagered in Nevada on last year’s Super Bowl between the Patriots and Seahawks.

$119.4 million: Amount legally wagered in Nevada on Super Bowl XLVIII in 2014 (the Seahawks’ 43-8 rout of the Broncos), a record for money bet on the game.

$3.3 million: Amount won by Nevada sports books in 2015.

$19.7 million: Amount won by Nevada sports books in the 2014 Super Bowl.

$1,000: Amount won by William Hill when the opening coin toss of Super Bowl XLIX came up tails.

$4.2 billion: Amount Americans are expected to bet on this year’s Super Bowl.

$4.1 billion: Of that total, the amount Americans are expected to bet illegally on this year’s Super Bowl.
