So here is something: If you are imaginative enough, you will never, in fact, sleep alone …

But a production by the creators of the the ever-nocturnal show “Absinthe” are putting on a show to make some matches. “Never Sleep Alone” is headed for a layover at the Spiegeltent at Caesars Palace on Feb. 8-9 and on Valentine’s Day.

Show times are 8 p.m. on Feb. 8-9, which are dark nights for tent tenant “Absinthe,” and 12:30 a.m. Feb. 14 (that’s Saturday after midnight). Tickets are $49 and $59, on sale today at 5 p.m. by calling 800-745-3000 or by clicking on Ticketmaster.com.

The show has developed a healthy relationship with fans in New York City at The Public Theater venue Joe’s Pub, where “NSA,” as it is known by devotees, opened in November 2011. The central figure is one Dr. Alex Schiller, who is not a real doctor nor a real person. In New York, the character has been played by comic actress Roslyn Hart, assuming the position of a saucy sex-advice author and therapist who holds firm to the show’s premise.

Which is, to hook up audience members for a love connection, right there in the tent.

“This is the show Las Vegas has been waiting for,” says Spiegelworld impresario extraordinaire Ross Mollison, who is also vowing to return “Vegas Nocturne,” another show Vegas has been waiting for, to the Strip at some point. “'Never Sleep Alone’ is sexy, sophisticated and hilarious — a particularly Spiegelworld take on immersive entertainment.”

Mollison said that in a statement. During a phone conversation, he reiterated that at least one Strip hotel was interested in taking on the show as a resident production — the three performances at Caesars are to be a showcase for that purpose. He added that the show is “the next big thing” in Vegas entertainment.

As for “Schiller,” a Gazillionaire-like character who has a real-life identity, her story is that she is a sex and dating guide under her byline, titled “Never Sleep Alone,” and uses advice in the book to lure patrons to the stage to try out various unseemly acts. These folks are picked out, paired up and put onstage.

It’s blind-date orgy, in other words.

The audience is divided between Singles (participants) and Voyeurs (they like to watch), with non-Dr. Schiller performing the interpretive foreplay. A release announcing the show promises “spontaneous make-outs with sexy strangers,” which is like a night at Omnia without the strobes and EDM.

The tent also morphs into a nightclub after the stage show, providing yet more opportunity for immersive entertainment. Maybe former “Vegas Nocturne” performer Jimmy Slonina will turn up with the blow-up doll he used in that tent not so long ago during Melody Sweets' Coney Island burlesque spectacular.

“I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to help the beautiful people of Las Vegas find their next hot romance,” Dr. Alex is quoted in a news release announcing the show. “ ‘Never Sleep Alone’ is the place to be if you want to laugh, learn and hook up. It’s like playing Spin the Bottle with hundreds of people. But better.”

Sounds like we’ll need a big bottle, if size matters. I guess we’ll find out when the good doctor hits the Strip.
