Vegas Play of the Day: Cleveland Cavaliers at Atlanta Hawks

Fri, May 22, 2015 (1:30 p.m.)

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

Atlanta Hawks minus-1.5 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers: $550 to win $500

If Atlanta is going to avoid a sweep in this series I think it needs to win this game. The Cavaliers going home with a 2-0 lead is not something I would expect any team to overcome, so the Hawks are going to come out with one of their best performances of the postseason.

Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving and Atlanta’s DeMarre Carroll are both questionable for tonight’s Eastern Conference Finals Game 2, and if both players miss the game it would be a bigger loss for the Cavs. Even if Irving does play he’s been limited by multiple injuries during the playoffs so now is the opportunity for the Hawks to give themselves any chance in this series.

Standings: Bern (79-69-1, $11,850), Keefer (80-80-2, $9,317), Brewer (69-83-3, $1,725)
