New York Yankees’ Aaron Judge smiles after his last at bat after winning the MLB baseball All-Star Home Run Derby, Monday, July 10, 2017, in Miami.

We’ve entered the fourth season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won back-to-back titles in the 2015-2016 and 2016-17 seasons, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015.

Minnesota Twins plus-102 vs. New York Yankees: $500 to win $510

The Yankees should be fully zombified by the time they take the field tonight in Minnesota after playing 34 innings in the past two days (a 16-inning marathon against the Red Sox on Saturday followed by a double-header the next day), so the Twins should be the livelier team.

Minnesota right-hander Adalberto Mejia has been decent in his last four starts (3-1, 24.1 innings, 7 ER), and when you throw in the fact that rookie slugger Aaron Judge has struggled since the all-star break (1-for-18 with zero RBI's in an admittedly small sample size), I don't like this matchup very much for the Yankees' offense.

A grueling weekend of baseball followed by a flight to Minnesota isn't an ideal spot for the Yankees. I'll take the rested home team.

Current Standings: Granger (3-2, $10,622), Keefer (2-1, $10,429), Brewer (2-2, $10,000), Grimala (0-1, $9,500)
