Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is held back from referee Jason Phillips by Shaun Livingston and Klay Thompson while reacting to being called for his sixth foul on Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James during the second half of Game 6 of the NBA Finals on Thursday, June 16, 2016, in Cleveland.

We’ve entered the third season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won the 2015-2016 season, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015. Bern stepped away in the middle of the 2016-2017 season with a 16-12 record and $13,317 bankroll, with Mike Grimala taking his place.

Golden State Warriors minus-13 vs. Utah Jazz: $440 to win $400

It seems like it's been a long time since we've seen the Golden State Warriors firing on all cylinders, so the 13-point spread is a little intimidating. But the Warriors have Kevin Durant back and presumably healthy now, they're well rested after a first-round sweep of the Trail Blazers, and they've got home court advantage in Game 1 of this Western Conference semifinal series. Those signs all point to a blowout win for the Dubs.

And that's before considering the X's and O's. Utah is a defensive-minded team, but their system is based around the rim protection of 7-foot center Rudy Gobert. How many defensive-minded centers actually make a difference against Golden State? Not a lot. The Warriors will go small, force Utah to take Gobert off the floor, and eventually run up 115 points or so.

Take the Warriors, let the 3's fly and hope Utah doesn't backdoor cover in garbage time.

Current Standings: Grimala (9-11, $9,633), Granger (15-19-1, $8,667), Keefer (42-37-3, $7,330), Brewer (29-30-1, $6,585)
