We’ve entered the third season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. Ray Brewer won the 2015-2016 season, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-2015. Bern stepped away in the middle of the 2016-2017 season with a 16-12 record and $13,317 bankroll, with Mike Grimala taking his place.

Washington Wizards at Boston Celtics under 217 points: $550 to win $500

Both teams have shot a higher percentage from the floor in four games of this series than they did in the entire regular season. Neither team is playing defense as well as they did in the regular season.

Those tendencies aren’t going to last. The Celtics and Wizards are only getting more familiar with each other, which is going to lend itself to defensive adjustments to slow each other.

One of the two teams has scored at least 116 points in every game of the series so far. It’s about time for more of a struggle, something like a 104-100 final score.

The home team has won and covered in all eight games between these two teams this year, but it’s tough to tell if that’s going to last. The Wizards have looked like the stronger team in this series, but it’s hard to have confidence in them escaping with a win from the TD Garden.

That makes the total a much more attractive bet than the side. The Celtics and Wizards may limit each other yet.

Current Standings: Grimala (9-12, $9,193), Granger (15-19-1, $8,667), Brewer (31-30-1, $8,025), Keefer (43-38-3, $7,730)
