In three of the games, the Magic have surrendered more than 120 points. They play at a fast pace and have many flaws defensively — a perfect formula in betting the points total over.
By no means is Memphis a good offense team. It ranks 24th in the league in points per game and 27th in assists. The lack of good guard play has led to frequent selfish play.
When you consider Memphis is a 3-point betting favorite, it’s not too far-fetched to assume the Grizzlies will attempt to turn the game into a half-court affair. That’s why the points total is a favorable 202. I’m not buying into that theory; there’s no slowing down Orlando.
