The Americano.

Ingredients

1.5 oz Cinzano Rosso vermouth

1.5 oz Campari

2 oz club soda

Lemon peel for garnish

Orange slice for garnish

Method

Build your drink over ice in a Collins glass. Garnish with a lemon peel, twisted to release the oils in the rind, and an orange slice.

For Francesco Lafranconi, it’s the Americano. “I can drink this when I wake up in the morning, in the afternoon, at night, I can drink it anytime,” Lafranconi said. Herbal, robust and invigorating, this cocktail definitely deserves a permanent spot in the lineup.
