Obituary: Roland J. “Rolly Dee” Diiorio

Roland J. "Rolly Dee" DiIorio, 73, of Las Vegas died Sunday in Las Vegas. He was born Aug. 14, 1923, in Providence, R.I. A 40-year resident, he was a musician with the Chuck Leonard Quartet, Louis Prima's band and The Goofers. He was a member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Musicians, Trenton Local 62. He was an Army veteran of World War II.

He is survived by a daughter, Anne D. Stephen of Las Vegas; four brothers, Dee DiIorio and Jerry DiIorio of Las Vegas, Alfred "Ace" DiIorio of Cranston, R.I., and Tony DiIorio of Hyannis, Mass.; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Wednesday at Davis Paradise Valley Funeral Home. A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at St. Anne Catholic Church. Burial will be at Paradise Memorial Gardens.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the Nathan Adelson Hospice or the American Cancer Society.
