Fri, Nov 6, 2009 (10:22 a.m.)

A team of federal and local law enforcement officers captured a man wanted in Oakland in a 2004 fatal shooting at a nightclub.

Metro Police said that Jetsae Martinez had been on the run since he had allegedly been involved in a fight that broke out inside the northern California nightclub. Oakland police had been searching for Martinez after he was seen leaving the club, going to a vehicle and getting a handgun, police said. He is accused of returning to the club and shooting another man in the head, Officer Barbara Morgan said today.

About 10 a.m. Wednesday law enforcement officers arrested Martinez and took him into custody as he left a Las Vegas residence to go to work, Morgan said.

He is awaiting extradition to Oakland.

  1. What's the big deal? There are thousands of people in Las Vegas that have killed someone for one reason or another. I know, I know society thinks some murders are MORE OK than other, but in reality they are ALL KILLINGS!
