Corporate giving

The Goodie Two Shoes Foundation is challenging law firms to participate in its Law for Laces Shoe Drive by donating five or more pairs of new, boxed and tagged sneakers of any size by Sept. 1. Participating firms will be entered to win an office lunch for up to 25 people. Pardee Homes donated furniture valued at approximately $10,000 to Opportunity Village to help with rebuilding the organization’s thrift store in downtown Las Vegas.

Terry Fator and MGM Resorts International donated $350,000 and the proceeds from the Aug. 1 special performance of “Terry Fator: Ventriloquism in Concert” to the Public Education Foundation.

More than 80 Las Vegas restaurants are offering special prix fix menus during restaurant week, Aug. 30-Sept. 5, with a portion of the proceeds going to Three Square Food Bank.
