Motorcycle-pickup truck crash

A 33-year-old Las Vegas man was critically injured Saturday when his motorcycle collided with a pickup truck that pulled out in front of him, Metro Police said.

The crash happened about 3:45 p.m. on East Lake Mead Boulevard at North Linn Lane, police said.

Evidence at the scene and witness statements indicate the Ford F-150 pickup was turning left from northbound Linn to go west on Lake Mead while the Honda motorcycle was headed east on Lake Mead in the right travel lane, police said. The truck pulled out from a stop sign into the path of the motorcycle, police said.

The motorcyclist, identified as Phillip Sisneros, locked up the brakes and the bike slid into the front of the truck, police said. Sisneros was taken to University Medical Center with critical injuries, police said.

Neither the driver of the truck, Gabriela Urenda, 31, of Las Vegas, nor two passengers, a 29-year-old man and a 16-year-old male, were injured, police said.

The crash remains under investigation, police said.
