In mid-June a storm caused damage to a portion of Twain Avenue at Edmond Street. The damage was virtually invisible from the road, so I sent an email to the Clark County Public Works folks with photos of a dangerous situation in which another storm would collapse the sidewalk and start undermining the street. The email address was [email protected].
The response was immediate. A supervisor assessed the situation the same afternoon, and within a few days a crew made repairs to avert further damage.
We can be proud of our Public Works people here in Clark County. They provide a fine example of government that works for all of us. Keep up the good work, folks.
