Real estate tycoon and television personality Donald Trump’s string of controversies haven’t hurt his standing with Arizona’s Republican voters, according to the results of a poll released today by MBQF Consulting.

According to the automated telephone survey of 758 “high efficacy” Republican primary voters, Trump leads the field of the top 10 GOP candidates, with 26.5 percent support. Following him were Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker at 12.6 percent, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush at 12.1 percent and neurosurgeon Ben Carson at 8.7 percent.

Of those surveyed, 21 percent remained undecided.

The other candidates in the poll were Texas Sen. Ted Cruz at 6 percent, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio tied at 3.9 percent, former Texas Gov. Rick Perry at 2 percent, and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul each at 1.7 percent.

The poll was conducted July 29, and the margin of error was plus or minus 3.56 percent — meaning that were it to be taken again under identical conditions, 19 times out of 20 the values would be within 3.56 point of those observed.

Though Arizona’s presidential primary on March 22 is considered less critical than those held earlier or that offer a greater number of delegates, the poll results are similar to those of one conducted by Quinnipiac University released Thursday. It shows Trump leading the national field with the support of 20 percent of Republican or Republican-leaning voters.
