Roadwork will close Oakey Boulevard east of Decatur Boulevard for four weeks starting Monday, Las Vegas government officials said.
The work, which includes the installation of a storm drain, is part of a $29 million project that began in March and is expected to be completed in 18 months. It features relocation of a sewer line, landscape renovation and new pavement along Decatur from Charleston Boulevard to Sahara Avenue.
For this four-week phase, officials suggest motorists use Sahara and Charleston as alternatives for east-west travel. For north-south travel, Jones and Valley View boulevards are recommended.
Oakey will remain open to Decatur on the west side of the intersection. Northbound and southbound traffic on Decatur will continue to be open to motorists, and access to businesses will be maintained.
