Interstate 15 North near Cheyenne Avenue is now open after being shut down today for more than two hours after a fatal crash between a motorcycle and two cars, according to the Nevada Highway Patrol.

The motorcyclist died at about 1:30 p.m. after running into the back of a Toyota Corolla. None of the other drivers were hurt, officials said.

Witnesses report that the motorcyclist was weaving in and out of traffic lanes at fast speeds before he hit the car. It is unclear how the third vehicle, an Acura SUV, became involved in the crash, authorities said.

Traffic was backed up to the Spaghetti Bowl interchange, officials said. Troopers shut down the ramps leading to I-15 North from U.S. 95 in both directions at the interchange.

The collision is still under investigation.
