Metro Police have identified a suspect in a homeless camp slaying last month in the east valley.

Authorities are seeking the public's help in locating Brandon Williams, 34, in connection with the death. Williams is transient and also goes by the name of “Seven.”

Police were called about 2:10 p.m., Sept. 21, to a homeless camp under a bridge at East Owens Avenue near North Sandhill Road to investigate a report of a stabbing.

Police found a man with a stab wound to the neck at the camp, and he was taken to University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Williams, who frequents the camp, was seen chasing the victim before the stabbing.
