I kept thinking Donald Trump wouldn’t run for president. Then, I thought he blew it with John McCain, and then with Megyn Kelly. No matter what Trump says or does, the Republican base loves him.
How could this happen? We have a carnival barker in first place in all of the polls. P.T. Barnum has been reincarnated.
Low-information voters love this shtick. Trump is different, he’s not a politician, he says what he thinks. I tell people he’s not qualified to be president and they say, “I don’t know about that.” Well, I know about that. He’s an entertainer and a marketing genius, but he has never been elected to anything. He is power-hungry, plain and simple.
I thank God every day that I’m a Democrat.
