A woman was shot and killed Wednesday night after she answered a knock at her door in the central valley, according to Metro Police.
Police were called about 10:30 p.m. to an apartment complex near Twain Avenue and Cambridge Street, Metro Lt. Charles Jenkins said.
At least one person knocked on the apartment door and shot the woman multiple times when she answered, Jenkins said. The woman was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center, where she died, Jenkins said.
The suspect or suspects are outstanding. More details were not immediately available.
