Man arrested in woman’s stabbing death in Henderson identified

A man arrested after officers found a 30-year-old woman stabbed to death at a Henderson home Saturday morning has been identified.

According to police:

Three children, ages 7, 3 and 3 months old, were found unhurt at the home, in the 500 block of Kristin Lane, near Sunset and Pabco roads.

A man called 911 about 5 a.m. to report that someone needed medical attention. When officers arrived, they found the woman suffering from a stab wound.

The suspect, 48-year-old Michael Kaplan, stayed at the scene and was arrested without incident. Clark County Child Protective Services was caring for the children.

He was booked into the Henderson Detention Center on one count of murder.

There's no history of domestic-violence calls at the home. The woman will be identified by the Clark County coroner's office.
