Homicide detectives have arrested a suspect in the fatal shooting of a man in the parking lot of an east valley apartment complex earlier this month, according to Metro Police.

Quinton Reese, 35, was arrested Tuesday without incident in the 9000 block of Desert Inn Road, police said. He was booked at the Clark County Detention Center of a count of murder.

Further details on his arrest or how he was identified as a suspect were not immediately available.

Officers were dispatched about 10:30 p.m. on July 11 to the complex in the 3700 block of East Bonanza Road and found the body of Justin Martin, 28, in the parking lot with multiple gunshot wounds, police said.

Martin was dating a woman at the complex and got into an argument with at least one person there before gunfire erupted, police said. The woman had gone inside an apartment before the fatal encounter, police said.

Evidence at the scene suggested Martin may have tried fleeing, police said. He had a gun in his waistband but apparently didn’t have time to pull it out, police said.
