A man who was wounded in a shootout following a road-rage incident stemming from a minor car crash Wednesday is facing multiple charges in connection with the incident, according to North Las Vegas police.

David Rosengrant-Munoz, 18, is recovering at University Medical Center and was booked in absentia at the Clark County Detention Center on one count each of assault with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon, and attempted murder with a deadly weapon, police said.

Apparently upset that his BMW coupe was slightly rear-ended about 1:50 p.m. near Cheyenne Avenue and Martin Luther King Boulevard, Rosengrant-Munoz exited his car, gun in hand, and approached the other driver, police said. Afraid for his life, that driver took off.

Rosengrant-Munoz pursued and confronted the 24-year-old man about a mile away in a residential neighborhood near Revere Street and Colton Avenue, police said. There, both men got out of their cars and exchanged gunfire.

The second man was not injured, police said. It wasn’t clear if he would be facing any charges.
