With more people getting out as Nevada reopens amid the coronavirus pandemic, Metro Police today reminded Las Vegans about curfews.

“As Las Vegas businesses have begun opening, more people are coming out to socialize, shop and eat,” police said in a news release.

People under 18 aren’t allowed to gather in public between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Sunday through Thursday and from 12 a.m. to 5 a.m. Friday and Saturday, police said.

The curfew on the Strip and downtown Las Vegas runs from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. daily, police said.

Exceptions apply to youths who are employed or participating in lawful activities with an legal guardian, police said.

Those in violation of the curfew face a fine of up to $300 and may be detained until police get in touch with their guardian.
