Computer error behind missing $600 federal unemployment benefit

Tue, Jul 28, 2020 (1:30 p.m.)

Nevada unemployment officials say they are fixing a computer error that caused some claimants to miss an extra $600 in federal benefits this week.

The Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation said the issue is expected to be resolved Wednesday, and all payments will be caught up shortly thereafter.

The $600 payment is on top of state unemployment benefits to help workers make it through the coronavirus pandemic.

DETR will issue an update if further issues arise, officials said.
