Rodimer wins GOP House primary, will face Lee

Former professional wrestler Dan Rodimer has won a six-way Republican primary for a Las Vegas-area U.S. House seat.

Results released Friday show the former professional wrestler defeated former state treasurer Dan Schwartz and four less-funded challengers in Tuesday's primary election.

They include Brian Nadell, Corwin Newberry, Mindy Robinson and Victor Willert.

Rodimer will go on to face incumbent Susie Lee in November. She’s a freshman congresswoman who won the seat representing southwest Las Vegas, Henderson and Boulder City in 2018 by nine points.

But President Donald Trump won the district in 2016, and with the president on the top of the ticket again this year, the 3rd District gives Republicans their best chance of flipping a House seat in Nevada.
