BOULDER CITY, Nev. — The body of a 24-year-old woman who went missing in Lake Mead earlier this week has been recovered, according to authorities.

Officials from the Lake Mead National Park Service, Boulder City Police and Las Vegas Metropolitan Police were involved in the search.

The body was spotted Saturday by a boater and pulled from the water by park rangers.

Park officials said the woman's name and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner's Office.

Her family and friends reported her missing Wednesday night from the Special Events Beach at Lake Mead.

Six people on an oversized inflatable flamingo reportedly were blown into the lake by high winds.

Witnesses said one man jumped off into the lake and began to struggle, then others went into the water to help.

The man made it to shore but one of the women who also jumped into the water went missing.

Authorities searched the shoreline and the water by boat and helicopter, but the search was suspended around 1 a.m. Thursday due to low visibility.

Park officials said the incident is under investigation.
