Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Las Vegas on Saturday for “political events,” the White House said this morning.
It will mark her fifth visit to Nevada this year and her 13th stop since being sworn into office.
Harris was most recently here April 15 to tout the 2022 bipartisan Safer Communities Act, which paved the way for the Biden administration in April to announce new regulations from the Department of Justice to expand background checks for gun purchases.
“We have within our grasp, within our means, things we can do to mitigate things. I don’t have to tell Nevada this,” she said then about gun laws, referencing the Oct. 1, 2017, mass shooting on the Strip.
