- North Las Vegas Police arrested two more teenagers Sunday in the death of a Metro Police officer killed last week at his North Las Vegas home. Quadrae Scott and Emmitt Ferguson, both 18, of North Las Vegas, were booked into the North Las Vegas Detention Center at about 8:15 p.m. Sunday. North Las Vegas Police on Sunday evening also announced that investigators believe they have recovered the gun used to fatally shoot Officer Trevor Nettleton early Thursday morning at his home.

Hospital officials knew of the rumors but did not pursue them after a cursory investigation. “I thought it was a nonissue,” Kathy Silver, UMC’s chief executive, told Las Vegas Sun reporter Marshall Allen for a story that ran Friday.
