Greene's Take: No Rebel may be more poised for a breakout season than the sophomore guard from Mojave High. Marshall established himself as a spark plug last season, providing stellar defense and highlight dunks as a reserve. Now he will shoulder more of the load, and a lot of how he responds to that challenge depends on his jump shot. With long arms and big hands, Marshall worked long hours in the gym over the summer to smooth out his stroke. If he gets that area of his game right, there's nothing that says he can't be an absolute star in his hometown.

UNLV Career: Marshall enters his second season in the Runnin' Rebel program in 2010-11.

In his first career start he scored 11 points against Kansas State ... Had a career-high five steals against USC Upstate ... Scored 12 points on 6-of-9 shooting in a win over SMU in Hawaii and had 12 points and three steals in his second career start at San Diego State ... His first career double-double came against Colorado State (12 points, 10 rebounds) ... He did it again vs. Utah in the MWC Tournament with 13 points and 12 rebounds.

High School: A 2009 graduate and local product from Mojave High School in Las Vegas ... Lettered four times for the Rattlers under head coach Tony Hopkins ... A four-star recruit who poured in 25 points per game to go along with six assists and five rebounds per contest as a senior ...
