A woman "bleeding from her head" was the beginning of Metro's most recent homicide arrest. A police press release puts it like this:
A 911 call at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday brought paramedics to the apartment of a 17 year old girl, where they discovered she had been shot and called police. Homicide detectives showed up and interviewed witnesses who reported seeing the victim's ex-boyfriend, 20-year-old Omar Rodriguez, at the apartment prior to shots being heard. Rodriguez was located a few hours later in north east Vegas and was taken into custody.
Rodriguez was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for murder with use of a deadly weapon. It also happens that Rodriquez had two outstanding warrants dating back to November for attempt murder and attempt battery, both with use of a deadly weapon. The November incident involved Rodriquez stabbing the victim's new boyfriend.
