A fireworks show featuring more than 30,000 pyrotechnics highlighted the opening ceremony for the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing on Friday as more than 91,000 people, including world leaders President Bush and Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, watched the pageantry unfold at National Stadium.
