Unearthing Nevada’s forgotten Chinese Heritage

Even though Lovelock, Nev., and many other Northern Nevada towns were founded on the labor of the Chinese immigrants who constructed the railroad tracks in the middle of the desolate desert during the mid-1800s, little remains of their heritage today. But Lovelock resident Larry DeLeeuw's garage full of Chinese artifacts is one example in a string of attempts made by Northern Nevadan's at rediscovering the Chinese influence from nearly two centuries ago.
