Former Runnin' Rebel basketball player, Glen Gondrezick was on a gurney at UCLA Medical Center ready for the heart transplant that he was assured was a go, when he was informed that it was a no go.
As it turned out, the hear that had been promised to Gondrezick was turned down as a possible donor because of slight damage due to arrhythmia and had never even made it to the hospital.
Despite the let down for both Gondrezick and his local supporters, another fund raiser to aid Gondrezick with medical bills is scheduled for Sunday, May 13 at the Orleans Hotel.
