Liddell likely done; what’s next step for Silva

Mon, Apr 20, 2009 (6 p.m.)

Chuck Liddell's legendary career all but ended in the ring in Montreal, Canada Saturday night. But despite "The Iceman's" fourth loss in five fights, the 39-year-old Liddell was still one of the UFC's top draws. But after Anderson Silva's second-straight unSilva-like victory, the same can't be said.

While "The Spider" did make history with his ninth-consecutive win in the Octagon, UFC 97 will be remembered more for what Silva didn't do against Thales Leites, than him picking up a win by unanimous decision.

"I don't know how you go from executing people left and right to dancing for five rounds," said an upset UFC president Dana White. "I don't know."

Yahoo's Dave Meltzer says it's time for the UFC to reshuffle its drawing card deck.
