O.J. Simpson arrives for a fifth day of an evidentiary hearing in Clark County District Court Friday, May 17, 2013.. Simpson, who is currently serving a nine-to-33-year sentence in state prison as a result of his October 2008 conviction for armed robbery and kidnapping charges, is using a writ of habeas corpus to seek a new trial, claiming he had such bad representation that his conviction should be reversed.

Fred Goldman, father of Ron Goldman, who was murdered in 1994, sits in a courtroom during O.J. Simpson's sentencing hearing at the Clark County Regional Justice Center in Las Vegas Friday. O.J. Simpson, who was acquitted of the 1994 slayings of his ex-wife and her friend in Los Angeles, was sentenced today to prison in a Las Vegas armed robbery case.
Twenty years ago, O.J. Simpson was a famous football player who was enjoying a second career as an NFL commentator and film actor. But on June 12, 1994, the public's perception of the man born Orenthal James Simpson changed with the deaths of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend, Ron Goldman.
Thursday is the 20th anniversary of the brutal murder; next Tuesday, June 17, will mark two decades since the iconic image of Simpson in a white Ford Bronco during a low-speed police chase. As a result, friends, relatives and legal experts are looking back at the case that Simpson was acquitted of during the "Trial of the Century" in 1995.
And reality TV star Kim Kardashian's father is to blame for a lack of justice for the two victims, according to Goldman's father.
