Among the missing:

Mon, Feb 4, 2008 (2:36 p.m.)

I'd love to know what John T. Moran III is thinking, but I think he lost my number.

Moran's client, developer Stuart Apollo, wants to build a convenience store, fast food restaurant and car wash in the midst of residential development at Grand Teton and Durango. Las Vegas City Councilman Steve Ross told Moran and his client last year that dog won't hunt, and to come back with a plan acceptable to residents.

Moran and Apollo are back, but with the plan essentially intact. The City Council is set to vote Wednesday on special use permits and we wanted to know why Moran is thumbing his nose at Councilman Ross' admonition. We also wanted to ask other council members (especially Larry Brown, who hopes to represent those residents as a County Commissioner) if they'll stand by their colleague, or bow to Moran, the newest member of the state's Ethics Commission. No takers. What a predicament.

Tune in to Face to Face tonight for a preview with Lisa Mayo De Riso of Northwest Residents for Responsible Growth and Jennifer Taylor, a local attorney who lives near the proposed development.
