The things you can find on the Secretary of State's website.

Federal Judge Kent Dawson, who sentenced nightclub kingpin Steve Davidovici to house arrest while giving the doorman a year behind bars in a tax evasion scheme, has not one but two connections to Davidovici's former haunts.

A day after Dawson sentenced Davidovici to eight months of house arrest and three years of probation, we revealed Dawson's son works at Gallery Nightclub in Planet Hollywood, where Davidovici was a consultant after his club, Pure, was raided in 2008 but before he was charged with tax evasion in March of this year.

Now, another connection: The judge's brother, John E. Dawson, is the resident agent for a company called Spendthrift Holdings, LLC, which is the managing partner of Roll Co, LLC, which is the managing partner of Gallery Entertainment, LLC, which is the managing partner of Gallery Nightclub, LLC.

Spendthrift Holdings, LLC is also the managing partner for Chateau Management, LLC, which is the managing partner of Chateau Nightclub, LLC, a club in which Davidovici was a partner.

The judge, who says he didn't know where his son worked until we inquired, is refusing to give the government beyond Monday to consider its options given the revelation about the judge's son's employment.
