This week, Monday By the Numbers is dedicated to one of our favorite comedy legends.
First, a quick story about this man, one I have told before: About a decade ago, I was working out on a StairMaster at Las Vegas Athletic Club on West Sahara Avenue when I turned to the person working out next to me.
He seemed familiar, with the wild black hair and bulging eyes. It finally occurred to me who he was, and as I walked over to introduce myself, I was intercepted by a friend of mine who happened to be working out at that time.
“Who is that?” my friend asked.
“I’ll give you a hint,” I replied. “ ‘Hollywood Squares.’ ”
