A Republican campaign ad urging Latinos not to vote was yanked from the airwaves Tuesday amid an outcry from Democrats that it was a dirty trick against Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in his hotly contested race against Republican Sharron Angle.
Reid sought to link the ad to Angle as the ad drew a harsh rebuke from President Barack Obama, Hispanic leaders and candidates from both parties in Nevada. Angle's opponents also pounced on the tea party favorite for her comments to Hispanic high school students that "some of you look a little more Asian to me."

Republican candidate for governor Brian Sandoval blasted an ad that tells Hispanic voters to stay home.
Sandoval, looking to become the state's first Hispanic governor, issued a statement calling for the ad to be taken down.
Latinos for Reform, headed by a conservative activist, is airing the Spanish-language ad telling voters to register their unhappiness with Democrats' inaction on immigration reform by not voting.
Sandoval, in a statement, called the ad outrageous.
“The television ad imploring Hispanics not to vote should be taken down immediately," he said. "No voter should have their right to vote suppressed or denied.”
U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, running for re-election against Sharron Angle, sees Hispanics as a key base of support in his tight election. Sandoval is running against Harry Reid's son, Rory Reid, for governor.
Robert Deposada, a conservative political consultant, told Politico that the ad is "a sincere effort to express Hispanic frustration with the Democrats failure to deliver on immigration reform."
The Nevada State Democratic Party has called on Angle to also disavow the ad.
