* For the first time, Paris Hilton and lover Benji Madden of Good Charlotte have gone on the record about their relationship -- and their mutual promises to be with each other forever! They talked with me candidly at the premiere of her new movie "Repo! The Genetic Opera" when it debuted at Planet Hollywood here.

“I’m really happy -- he’s my best friend. He’s an incredible man and a really good person who makes me very happy. He wants to be with me forever, and it’s the same with me. Yes, we’ve talked about marriage, but we’ll surprise you with that when it happens,” she told me exclusively.

I’d always thought they’d met Valentine’s Day this year, but Paris corrected me: “We were a little sneaky about that. We will actually have been together since January. It was only when you saw us for the first time together that we went public about our romance, and you were the first to report it. So although Feb. 14 will be a special day, it’s not our actual anniversary.

Following the Planet Hollywood movie premiere, Paris and Benji raced over to the Hard Rock Hotel to check up on his investment in Carey Hart’s new Wasted Space rock club. Then they shot back to the Prive nightclub in Planet Hollywood for the movie after-party. Paris and Benji enjoyed a 1:30 a.m. snack of vegetarian spring rolls, pork pot stickers and mini cheeseburger sliders. She selected Patron tequila and Benji picked Snow Queen vodka. Paris then had energy to go dancing -- both on her VIP couch and on the club’s dance floor.

* Hollywood’s Lindsay Lohan, in and out of the headlines for various controversies the past two years, showed up on time for her party at Pure nightclub in Caesars Palace this past weekend. More than 7,000 people crowded the casino floor at the resort hotel trying to get into the club and catch a glimpse of the 22-year-old actress, who has been more in the news for alcohol- and drug-related incidents than her showbiz career.

In addition to at least five bodyguards provided by the nightclub, Lindsay also had three of her own private Secret Service-style security agents complete with hidden mics and earpieces. It was Lindsay’s third appearance at the nightspot, making up for two earlier canceled appearances she’d committed to before her spate of legal troubles. On her last visit to Pure, she still wore an ankle-monitoring device.

After dining with best girlfriend and DJ Samantha Ronson and a small entourage of 10 others in a private dining room at the Palms restaurant in the Forum Shops at Caesars, they made separate entrances at the massive nightspot. Samantha raced down the red carpet in less than 10 seconds, not stopping for photographs or interviews.

“That was the fastest red carpet appearance I’ve seen in my entire life,” said our contributing celebrity photographer Scott Doctor. “They want the publicity. We wait for two hours, and they go by in a fleeting second!”

Seconds later a skittish and nervous Lindsay followed suit, but the "Mean Girls" actress, model and singer did stop for reporters’ questions about her new 6126 fashion line of leggings, her involvement with the Ovarian Cancer Research fund -- and, with a smile, said she was in “great shape and good health.” Rumors abound that she’s dropped 14 pounds in the past month and is now down to a size 6 dress. Then, in a flash, she, too, also vanished.

* It was more like a glittering first night than a third anniversary when the stars packed Tao restaurant and nightclub over the weekend. The 60,000-square-foot-entertainment complex at The Venetian was jam-packed with celebrity VIPs.

Here’s the through-the-night excitement that happened after 2 a.m. It was shortly after that when actor Mickey Rourke joined the fun. You tell me how best to describe the outfit he wore for the party! I can’t tell if it was Mexican bullfighter’s regalia or a leftover Halloween costume or a doorman’s uniform from an S&M club on Bourbon Street!

He’d arrived late on a flight from Los Angeles and insisted on watching a tape of Joe Calzeghe and Roy Jones Jr.’s light-heavyweight contest at New York’s Madison Square Garden, which was live while he was on the jet! He ordered up Asian delicacies from Tao restaurant for he and new movie "The Wrestler" co-stars and producers. Included was John Enos III, Armin Amiri and Marilyn Manson’s just ex-gal pal Evan Rachel Wood.

Gorgeous "Dancing With the Stars" beauty Stacy Keibler sat alongside my table celebrating her gal pal’s 30th birthday. The former World Wrestling Entertainment stunner was the center of attention with her short mini! Reality TV star and former Charlie Sheen partner Denise Richards showed up in a Theory vest, D&G tank top and Joe’s Jeans with her sister Michelle McLaughlin. They ordered up pork pot stickers, crispy rice and sea bass skewers.

"Private Practice" actress Kate Walsh wore a Stella McCartney dress, Valentino shoes and Neil Lane jewelry. She was with her husband and told me it was their first time back since her bachelorette party. Kate denied pregnancy rumors and, asked about her weight loss, said: “I just gave up eating fried foods.” She ordered Taotinis to go with her sushi and Kobe rib eye.

"Hairspray" actress Amanda Bynes in silver Dior shoes and a BCBG dress also brought her girlfriends to the party and danced with gossip blogger Perez Hilton and Private Practice star Taye Diggs. Amanda ordered up grilled tuna in the restaurant and once up in the nightclub sang along with all the words to Lil’ Kim and 50 Cent’s “Magic Stick.” When I said hello to her table, she said it was her first time back at Tao since celebrating her 21st birthday there.

Lindsay Lohan, solo after gal pal Samantha Ronson flew to a DJ gig in Chicago, crept in quietly through a back staircase after watching the Madonna concert to order up Tao’s signature lobster won tons, Kung Pao chicken and sushi, but, so as not to break her Pure contract, didn’t go up to the nightclub. Instead, she joined friends in a penthouse suite at George Maloof’s Palms Place condo tower.

Other guests included "The Wrestler" director Darren Aronofsky, Greg Bello, Hill Harper from CSI, Heidi Montag from "The Hills," "Curb Your Enthusiasm" and "Mad About You" actor Richard Kind, "24" star Roger Cross, smooth singer Robin Thicke and Shawn Hatosy. I took the Polish-born, classical violin players the Alizma triplets, who had their party dresses flown in from Warsaw just for the party -- and all the stars wanted their photos taken with them. Jenna Fischer from "The Office" said her teal-colored party dress had been a “last-minute pick-up” from a boutique near her L.A. home.
