3-Tour Challenge leaving Lake Las Vegas for Rio Secco

Tue, Aug 19, 2008 (11:08 a.m.)

The Wendy's 3-Tour Challenge is moving from Lake Las Vegas to Rio Secco Golf Club in Henderson.

The made-for-TV golf exhibition pits three players from the PGA, LPGA and Champions Tours against each other for a $1 million purse. The Challenge was founded by Dave Thomas of the Wendy's hamburgers chain to raise funds and create awareness for foster care adoption programs.

The site change is the result of a two-year agreement between the 3-Tour Challenge and Harrah's Entertainment. This year's event is set for Nov. 10-11.

The players will be announced at a later date.

Our guess is that John Daly gets invited, because golf fans dig the long ball.
