Wink Adams fueled a first-half barrage for UNLV on Saturday night in its 79-60 victory over New Mexico. Adams, fourth in the Mountain West Conference with 15.5 points per game before the contest, scored 17 in the first half to guide the Rebels to a 40-20 lead. He finished with 24. Joe Darger chipped in with 17. UNLV (17-4, 6-1 in league) kept pace with BYU (17-5, 6-1) atop the conference. New Mexico fell to 16-6 and 3-4. UNLV won for the 10th time in 11 games and plays Wednesday night at Utah.
