Vegas Play of the Day: Bengals at Patriots

Sun, Oct 5, 2014 (2 a.m.)

Here’s the latest installment of the Play of the Day, which uses odds from the South Point. Our three sports writers started with a $10,000 bankroll — fictional, of course.

New England Patriots plus-1 vs. Cincinnati Bengals: $550 to win $500: New England has something to prove. After being humiliated in a blowout loss to Kansas City on Monday Night Football, the Patriots’ will be motivated to show they are still a Super Bowl contender.

Bring on the Bengals.

Cincinnati is one of football’s best teams. The marquee Sunday night game will be a perfect spot for New England to make a statement.

I firmly believe Tom Brady still has a few good years left. He’ll be at the top of his game against the Bengals.

Cincinnati is coming off its bye week, meaning it could come out sluggish. I know the Bengals are good — I just don’t see them winning at New England, especially on a marquee televised game.

Standings: Bern (47-41-1, $11,491), Keefer (44-46, $10,681), Brewer (39-48-3, $4,445)
