Vegas Play of the Day: Diamondbacks at Rockies

Sun, Jun 10, 2018 (6:27 a.m.)

We’ve entered the fourth season of the annual South Point-lined Play of the Day competition, effective July 1.

Starting bankrolls have reset to $10,000, with the maximum bet being to win $1,000 and the minimum wager $300. A participant's failure to place a bet on their scheduled day results in a $200 bankroll penalty.

Ray Brewer won back-to-back titles in the 2015-16 and 2016-17 seasons, after Taylor Bern prevailed in 2014-15.

Diamondbacks at Rockies, Total Over 11.5 at minus-110: $990 to win $900: The teams have covered the total over in the initial three games of the series by scoring a combined 44 runs. They will add to the high-scoring today because both starters — Zach Godley of Arizona and Colorado’s Kyle Freeland — have struggled of late.

In his last seven games, Godley is 1-5 with a 6.14 earned run average. For the season, batters are hitting .272 with 10 home runs. Freeland is much better with a respectable 3.48 earned run average for the season, but with how the ball is flying out of Coors Field in Denver this week, it’s tough to trust any pitcher.

Keefer (36-28-1, $11,716), Granger (17-16, $8,959), Brewer (28-29-1, $6,130), Grimala (16-23, $4,965),
