The sixth season of the annual Play of the Day betting competition between the Sun's sports staff is now underway, effective July 1.

Bankrolls start at $10,000 for each of the four participants, with the objective to increase it as much as possible over the next year. The minimum daily wager is $300, with a $200 penalty assessed for failing to place a bet on an assigned day.

Past winners are Case Keefer in 2018-19 and 2017-2018, Ray Brewer in 2016-2017 and 2015-2016, and Taylor Bern in 2014-2015.

Baltimore Ravens minus-9.5 vs. Tennessee Titans: $1,100 to win $1,000

I'm pretty surprised the Ravens aren't laying double digits across the board here. I think it's a mistake.

Baltimore will be rested and ready to put up major offense tonight after their best players had the luxury of three weeks to recover, dating back to a meaningless week 17 game against Pittsburgh where most starters sat. Tennessee does pose some problems for its defense — namely running back Derrick Henry — but the aforementioned layoff is just as important to the coaching staff.

And the Ravens' have one of the best in the game. I have faith that John Harbaugh and his cohorts will have a sharp plan of attack against the Titans.

They've been the best coaching staff in the NFL all season. Baltimore should be up double digits by halftime, and a backdoor cover is my primary concern.

That's no reason to back down from a bet, though. I need to make a move in the Play of the Day standings with football winding down, so a max-bet on the Ravens is the move.

Current Standings: Grimala (12-5, $9,065), Keefer (22-21-2, $7,135), Emerson (11-16, $6,450), Brewer (10-11, $5,795)
